Colin Edwin - New Album with O.R.k.

Colin Edwin has joined up with his Obake bandmate, vocalist Lorenzo Esposito Fornasari, drummer Pat Mastelotto (King Crimson) and guitarist Carmelo Pipitone (Marta Sui Tubi) to form the band O.R.k.

Steven Wilson 'Perfect Life' music video

Steven Wilson has released Perfect Life, taken from his new solo album album "Hand. Cannot. Erase." (released 2nd March). Video directed by Youssef Nassar. Colin Edwin's Twinscapes project, a joint collaboration with Italian bassist and composer Lorenzo Feliciati (Berserk!/Naked Truth), release their debut album this week on Rarenoise.

Mixed by legendary US bass player and producer Bill Laswell and featuring guest contributions from Norwegian trumpeter Nils Petter Molvaer, former Van der Graaf Generator saxophonist David Jackson, Swiss percussionist Andi Pupato (Nick Bartsch's Ronin) and drummer Roberto Gualdi from Italy's PFM, Twinscapes has already been described as a "...subtle contender for the year's first truly great instrumental album".

Porcupine Tree's live guitarist John Wesley to release new solo album


John Wesley releases a brilliant new solo album “Disconnect” on 31st March. Wes appeared as the fifth touring member of Porcupine Tree at every PT live performance between 2002-2010 (and on the band’s live releases from the period), and this is his first full length solo album since 2005. As well as Wes’ four piece band, the album features a guest appearance from Alex Lifeson of Rush.

The Raven That Refused To Sing (And Other Stories), the new album from Steven Wilson is now available across the world. The album has been incredibly well received and looks start to chart highly in a number of countries.

Octane Twisted live double CD

"Octane Twisted" the new double CD live album including bonus DVD will be released on Kscope Records on November 19th. A regular 2 cd only version will be available at a later date.

CD 1 comprises the whole of "The Incident" recorded at the Riviera, Chicago 2010.

Steven Wilson on tour NOW!

The second leg of Steven Wilson's spectacular Grace For Drowning tour starts this week in the USA, before moving on to Mexico, South America, Scandinavia, mainland Europe and finishing in London on the 15th May. Featuring an astounding 6 piece band including Marco Minnemann on drums, Nick Beggs on bass, Adam Holzman on keyboards, Theo Travis on sax/flute and Niko Tsonev on guitar, films and other visuals and a quadrophonic sound system, last year's tour was rated by many that saw it as the finest live event of the year. Storm Corrosion Pre-order

Two editions of the Storm Corrosion album are now available to pre-order: a deluxe vinyl double LP, and a bundle which includes the vinyl LP and the album on CD and Blu-Ray (note that there will also be standalone CD and Blu-Ray editions available to order soon). The Blu-Ray contains stereo and 5.1 mixes of the album as well as additional demo and instrumental versions, all at 96K/24bit high resolution. The 2LP version comes in a heavy duty textured gatefold sleeve, with inner bags and a poster, and has been overseen by vinyl specialists ToneFloat.



Colin Edwin New Solo Release

Colin Edwin has a new solo album, entitled "PVZ" which is available now through burning shed .

"PVZ" is a purely digital release in both FLAC and mp3 format, but there is also a limited edition USB key version, which comes in a presentation tin with the USB key containing the FLAC and mp3 files as well as printable artwork designed by Carl Glover.

No-Man live album

There is now a microsite for the forthcoming No-Man live release "Love and Endings". This will include a DVD of the performance. Release date for this is 12th March, on CD/DVD and 2 LP vinyl. Love and Endings is a document of no-man's performance at the Leamington Spa Assembly on October 14th, 2011.

The second leg of SW's spectacular Grace for Drowning tour will start at the beginning of April and run through to mid May. Many shows have not been confirmed yet, but these are: 30th April - Amager Bio, Copenhagen, Denmark, 2nd May - 013, Tilburg, Netherlands, 4th May - Trianon, Paris, France, 6th May - Garage, Saarbrucken, Germany, 7th May - Theaterhaus, Stuttgart, Germany, 9th May - Z7, Pratteln, Switzerland, 10th May - Alcatraz, Milan, Italy, 11th May - Orion, Rome, Italy, 13th May - FZW, Dortmund, Germany, 14th May - AB, Brussels, Belgium, 15th May - Shepherds Bush Empire, London, UK (ticket link below). Note that London will be the only UK date, and this time it will be standing not seated. SW is planning to introduce some new music into the show for this run, and one of the dates will also be filmed for a Blu-Ray / DVD release. All the tickets links and the rest of the dates will be announced in the next few days. Note that the ticket links included above are valid, but tickets may not actually be on sale for another day or two, so keep trying.

SW App available

There is now a Steven Wilson app for iPhone, and it's totally free. It includes the first official release of the track "Cut Ribbon". It's just for iPhone at the moment (although can also run on iPad), but there are plans to follow it with an Android version later on. Link here to get it.
